Job Description:
Under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Director or designee, manage the long and short range planning of park and recreation facilities; plan, coordinate, develop and supervise the design and construction of parks and recreation capital development projects including but not limited to parks, trails, structures, open space and beautification projects; and supervise, evaluate and direct the work of professional staff and consultants. Required Education & Experience A combination of education and related experience may substitute for education requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture AND Five (5) years landscape architectural experience, including 3 years as a parks planning/projects manager AND Designation as a Registered Landscape Architect in the State of Washington. Out of State applicants must be presently registered in their home State and must obtain designation as a Registered Landscape Architect in the State of Washington within six (6) months of hire. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
