Job Description:
Summary: Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest is responsible for strengthening Navy and Marine Corps combat readiness worldwide through facilities lifecycle support focused on the Fleet, Fighter, and Family. This position is located at Southwest Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, El Centro, CA. The person selected will serve as a construction engineering authority and provide oversight of construction management for the field office. Many projects will be highly technical and contain state-of-the-art advances in technology. This is an interdisciplinary position which may be filled under any of the following titles and occupational series, depending on the qualifications of the applicant and needs of the agency: Architect, GS-0808 Civil Engineer, GS-0810Mechanical Engineer, GS-0830Electrical Engineer, GS-0850 Any Engineer in other series may apply if he/she meets the qualification requirements as stated in this announcement. Travel may be required 1 to 5 nights per month. Recruitment / Relocation incentives are authorized.
