Job Description: This full-time position is primarily a technical testing role, working with the development team. The primary objective for this funciton will be to drive the sonar system testing on site and in the field. This includes problem reporting back to Research & Development (R&D).
Responsibilities: The test engineer is responsible for establishing proper processes and procedures for design verification of development projects. This comprises of testing as part of in-process designs prior to release and as a part of engineering release. Testing includes but is not limited to software tests, electronic tests, funcitonal tests, system level tests, environmental tests, and stress tests. Furthermore, the test engineer is responisible for setup and design of appropriate test methodology and equipment to properly verify designs and to ensure readiness for advancing the designs to the engineering release stage. The test engineer performs the actual testing and develops a test plan for each of the devlopment projects in question. Additionally, the test enigneer works with document control in maintaining appropriate test records and with production engineering in transferring the designs to Global Delivery.
Job Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Engineer required; Masters preferred. - Practical working knowledge and theoretical background in electronic and testing methodology - A minimum of 2 years of experience with design verification. - Must have strong analytic and problem solving skills - Ability to develop a detailed understanding of company's products and solutions - Experience with the field of electronics (high speed digital, low noise low signal, high power analog electronic and test equipment - Skilled in LabVIEW, Matlab, and C++ - Must be computer literate and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Internet. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-driven - Must be detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Must have excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills
