Job Description: The Training Director is responsible to integrate the company's philosophy, vision, goals, procedures, technical information, leadership techniques, and craft skills into all training initiatives. He/She is also responsible to direct the training functions of the corporation in accordance with industry standards and regulatory agencies while adhering to all company objectives and designing and planning Corporate Training Programs. The Training Director will instruct, endorse and enforce the Corporate Policies and Procedures to all colleagues.Duties and Responsibilities: Report regularly to the President on the status of training within the company and gain approval from President on all training programs. Formulate proficiency testing and conduct requirement assessments to determine measures required to enhance job performance and achievement of the goals and objectives of the corporation for Administrators, Supervisors, Journeymen and Apprentices. Develop, implement and maintain instructional programs, including learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans. Conducts classroom training concerning the NEC, technical skills, safety, leadership, company policies and procedures and other training topics as needed. Work directly with Vice President, Department Heads, Construction Managers and Supervisors to determine training needs and develop training programs. Review evaluations of training courses, objectives, and accomplishments. Make assessment of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance. Investigate and analyze new training programs for company implementation. Provide technical expertise in the instructional design and development of training and development programs through the application of sound principles of communication and instructional technology, and/or provide stand-up training.
