Develop project plans aimed at reducing DB size by implementing new archiving objects, reducing retention of existing objects or simply deleting data. Work with other groups, possibly managing other groups employee activities as they relate to archivingWork closely with the business in all regions, to negotiate data reductions including, if needed, archive enabling of existing reportsManage the implementation, support and upgrade of off-the-shelf PBS modules to allow simplified access to archived dataAs needed, and using the PBS custom module, develop custom archiving objects where none are provided or for custom tables. Undertake catch-up archiving and update on-going plans to accommodate newly developed objectsWork with Internal Audit to insure that required financial data is readily available through PBS, DART extracts or other means before removing financial data from productionDraft detailed specifications for archive enabled reports and utilities that satisfy business needs or help manage archive jobs and data more efficiently. Work with Apples development group to test custom development and insure custom solutions satisfy specificationsDevelop test plans for new implementations. Work with business to develop scripts, setup archived test data and oversee IT and UAT before moving to productionInsure projects are on plan and budget.
