Manager AOL Entertainment currently seeks a strategic & operational Product lead for Moviefone, a leading Movies website & network reaching over 17 Million people worldwide (source: Comscore). Moviefone is a free web service offering editorial features, movie showtimes, tickets, trailers and encyclopedic movie information to movie lovers everywhere. The successful candidate will be outwardly focused on industry trends and own the formation of product strategy addressing the entire consumer product experience including but not limited to Social Medi a , User-Generated Content and Distributed Applications centered around the companys flagship movies brand, Moviefone. Importantly, the candidate will champion Open Services and extend Moviefone.com beyond the bounds of the domain and succeed in a distributed application strategy including social apps, widgets, feeds, and other insertions into the conversations happening every day on the web. Required qualifications include: Experience in bringing web products to market, from concept through specification and development to launch planning for highest consumer adoption, and based on success measurements, optimizing post-launch iterations. Experience managing product requirements for dat a -driven applications and direct collaboration or matrix management over technical development. Familiarity with agile development and readiness to operate in agile methodology. Conversant and strategic in Web 2.0 concepts of user feeds, social contribution, and openness. Constant awareness of developments in online medi a product innovations, vi a blogosphere, conferences, etc. Awareness of current standards in API development and service-based distributed applications.
