The company focuses on procedure-enabling devices for the interventional diagnosis and treatment of conditions in general and bariatric surgery, as well as gastro-intestinal health, gynecology and surgical oncology. The REALIZE Gastric Band is one of the fastest growing segments of Ethicon Endo-Surgery and a key growth platform for the company. The innovative launch program brings to life the concept of a complete continuum of care with the introduction of mySuccess, a web-service that helps patients build the new habits required for successful weight loss and helps practices and patients stay connected three or more years post surgery. EES is making a multi-million dollar commitment to train bariatric surgeons and their allied health partners to perform the REALIZE band procedure and deliver mySuccess. The launch program also includes an extensive direct-to-patient effort that is effectively driving prospective surgery candidates to trained surgeons. The Group Product Director - Bariatrics for Trial, Training and Conversion has three direct reports and is responsible for identifying and prioritizing the surgeons to be trained, managing the proctorships and trial cases, and insuring the Sales and Market Development field teams have the clinical knowledge and broader understanding of the total value proposition to drive conversion. The GPD for Trial, Training and Conversion is a high-profile role in the largest commercial product launch in the company. Although the role initial focuses on surgeon training, the role will evolve in 2009 to include more traditional product and patient marketing. Therefore, we are looking for high-potential candidates who have a broad base of marketing experience.
