Job Description:
Oncology Discovery, and Clinical Development Departments to devise and implement translational research strategies for each of our early development candidate molecules. The Translational Medicine group will be involved in project and staff management and will produce proof-of-concept clinical trials that merge the work of discovery with meticulously designed and executed biomarker studies. This group has responsibility for ensuring that pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic, genomic, informatic, imaging, and biomarker studies are rigorously executed and seamlessly integrated into the clinical development plan. A major effort will be devoted to implementing personalized medicine strategies for selecting patient populations that are optimally suited for treatment with a specific therapeutic agent. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The Sr. Director, Translational Medicine, will proactively champion the development and implementation of a biomarkers and translational research strategy for the late-stage discovery/early development oncology portfolio.The Sr. Director will work with the senior management team in Biomarkers, Discovery and Clinical Development develop an integrated, cross-functional translational research strategy to drive the most effective development of our late stage discovery/early clinical development portfolio.The Sr. Director will help represent Ortho Biotech Oncology R&D on both cross-Ortho Biotech/Centocor and cross-J&J translational research teams as appropriate.The Sr. Director will require demonstrated ability to manage a complex workload and prioritize tasks based on program goals.
