Job Description:
Key Responsibilities : Serve as the in-house expert on federal, state, regional and local safety and environmental health regulations and ensure compliance Identify and evaluate unsafe behaviors, hazardous conditions and OSHA and WISHA compliance. Develop, in collaboration with operating managers, recommendations and hazard control practices and programs. Perform periodic safety and environmental health audits Develop, coordinate and implement comprehensive safety and health training for all levels of the organization Assist managers and supervisors in understanding regulations and standards, including guidance on handling compliance and inspections Support and, in appropriate cases, participate directly in effective accident investigations, aimed at identifying and correcting underlying causes Develop oversee and implement appropriate communication and awareness tools, including reports measuring safety and environmental health performance Manage and oversee third-party administration of workers' compensation claims. Oversee disability management and return to work program Develop and adhere to departmental budget. Requirements: 5 years professional safety and environmental health experience is required; experience as a line supervisor or manager preferred PC proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets, email, scheduling & presentation software. Skilled in: planning, organization, creating courses and training staff at all levels Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
