Job Description:
Provide strategic direction & leadership to Kimberly Mill in providing a safe & healthy workplace for all employees, contractors, & vendors; answer questions & concerns about safety & health issues; provide direction & leadership for employee safety committees, representatives, managers, & process support teams; carry out responsibilities in a manner which will ensure the mill is in compliance with division safety policies; state & national safety standards. eds. Build synergies between software applications to effectively manage the business. Manage & develop direct reports. Manage contracted services as necessary to effectively meet the needs of the business. Develop statistical reports & perform data analysis to meet the needs of the business units. Lead mill security & risk assessment efforts. Lead & provide expertise for correction of unsafe practices & conditions. Coordinate & provide resources for all mill, division, OSHA, & other compliance audits. Ensure efficient process to conduct all testing for health hazards, pulmonary functions, & hearing tests are completed per regs. Maintain licenses & permits as required including records retention. Develop & maintain loss control policies. Provide leadership & sponsorship of mill redesign efforts in the safety and security systems. Integrate loss control training activities into the training management system & trainers. Comply with specific regulatory & legislative records retention requirements. Conduct & coordinate internal & external inspections per policy or regulatory requirements. Record & follow up on recommendations. Provide consultation & guidance to mill threat assessment team under the Workplace Violence Prevention policy. Provide support & guidance for incident analysis as needed. Audit the effectiveness of the incident analysis process.
