The Instructional Media Assistant will provide broad-based media development support to the Instructional Media Designer. This is a hands-on position which involves all aspects of development from conception through implementation and support. Responsibilities will include coordinating with PULSE curriculum authors in developing courses and related materials; providing feedback on instructional design in order to create compelling online learning experiences; assist in video and other media projects during production and post-production stages; and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Five years minimum experience as audio engineer and three years office experience. Advanced proficiency in music theory; advanced proficiency in music software (Sibelius preferred), sequencing software (Logic preferred) and multi-track recording (e.g. Pro Tools). Ability to effectively communicate and interact with senior leadership as well as consultants and other external contacts in an articulate and professional manner. Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of the Word and Excel software; basic familiarity with database management and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of video editing and/or animation software a plus. Must be a positive self-starter and team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a loosely structured atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation.
