Job Description:
Job Summary Applies knowledge of nutrition and clinical research to perform a wide range of duties. Assists in technical planning and implementation of clinical trials. May supervise one or more operations/clinical trial support specialists in the planning, generation and implementation of clinical protocols. May have non-project related administrative, organizational and/or planning responsibilities. Job Responsibilities Design, write, and execute clinical nutrition research studies. Include resolving technical and logistical aspects of trial. Assist in selecting clinical investigators at study sites. Coordinate data management, review and presentation at meetings. Compile data in clinical science report and write abstracts and manuscripts for publication. Prepare written documents and power point presentations as needed to support studies. Maintain financial responsibilities for assigned projects. Represent clinical research at interdepartmental project teams (preclinical, regulatory, marketing). Participate in nutrition research projects. Involved in supervising staff that help with clinical research operations. Provide input into development of clinical nutrition research plans and research strategy. Basic Qualifications BS or equivalent in Life Sciences + 8 years experience; MS or equivalent in Life Sciences +7 years experience; PhD or equivalent in Life Sciences + 4 years experience. Training in nutritional research, Good Clinical Practice and clinical monitoring is helpful. Wide knowledge of clinical trial management, and data management. An understanding of human nutrition and principles that underlie clinical research.
