Job Description:
Position: Data Warehouse Director
Location: Denver, CO
Length: 3-4 months w/option for additional time (CONTRACT TO HIRE)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: OPEN (LOCAL ONLY)
Overview:
The consultant will provide Program oversight & expertise with BI for a large healthcare organization. The Data Warehouse Director will work closely with the Managers and BI Business Analyst’s to understand key metrics and analytics in delivering effective decision support and analytical solutions.
Requirements:
1. Must have exp 8-10+ yrs exp project management or Program management in implementing Data Warehouse or Business Intelligence projects specifying requirements for an Information Delivery solution preferably ---Must have prior exp
a. Overseeing the architectural design and development of the enterprise data warehouse and focused data marts (Solid understanding of Data Warehousing and Governance)
b. Oversight of the Data Warehouse team of SQL Developers, Report Writers, Business Analysts
c. Establishing development standards/best practices regarding business intelligence projects
d. Overseeing comprehensive multi-tier architecture conforming to Services-Oriented Architecture concepts
2. Must have developed standards, policies and procedures BI teams including:
a. Responsible for department budget, staff salary adjustments/recommendations, performance reviews, one on one meetings
b. Visionary – will be driving the current and future Data Warehouse direction
c. Ability to review processes, identify inefficiencies, make recommendations for new processes, comfortable driving process reengineering initiatives
3. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
4. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator
5. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project
