Job Description: Under the general guidance of the IT Department Director, the Application Developer’s primary responsibility will be to develop, debug, test and support object-oriented applications, databases, and websites. Quality and long lasting applications are developed using the Microsoft Solution Foundation with Visual Basic .NET, C#, J#, VB, JavaScript, and XAML. Experience in SharePoint Development and Programming are preferred for the position. The primary function of this position will be in the development and management of custom software as well as implementation and integration of that software. This individual will work closely with other developers, Data Base Analysts, System Administrators, and others on the IT Staff. The Application Developer will also interface with personnel from various departments in the Casino, including Finance, Marketing, and Purchasing. Individual must be a highly productive, flexible, and self-motivated software developer that is used to working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Job Requirements: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required and preferred): High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) (various, MCSD certification preferred). Minimum of 1 year experience in the development of at least 2 of the following: Office Applications, Web applications, and SharePoint applications.
SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION: The ideal candidate will have effective interpersonal skills when interacting with users, managers, and team members, internal and external customers. The importance of having a helpful and positive attitude is essential for this position. The individual in this position must have strong analytical skills and possess well-developed problem solving capabilities. He/she must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment. The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills and have demonstrated that he/she has the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people, both internally in IT and externally with other Departments in the Casino. Being available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week based on federal guidelines. Adequate transportation must be available for traveling to and from work and meet the availability requirements.
