Job Description:
The System Administrator will plan, implement and maintain server hardware and software in support of business, scientific, and networking applications. Duties include performing administrative tasks to maintain system operation, install new systems, maintain system security and performance. He/She will also will conduct database administration, and provide back-up for other members of the Information Technology Team.
Job Requirements:
Requires a BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. 2-4 years experience in Linux system administration. Familiarity with database administration of Oracle, MySQL, and other relational databases. Experience administrating Windows NT, 2000, XP and Mac OS X Server systems a plus. Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills required. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Off-hours activity (scheduled and emergency) required for operational support.
