Job Description:
Enterprise Architect
The Enterprise Architect will provide architectural direction and guidance for large scale IT projects. Architect will interface with business clients, analysts and IT professionals to determine the direction of technology implementations. The Enterprise Architect is responsible for creating a future vision of architecture, which supports objectives of cost and risk reduction along with positioning the system to deliver new services to the market faster. The position takes a disciplined and comprehensive approach to describing the current state and future vision of systems and application enterprise architecture. The candidate with broad view, will guide and analyze potential technical solutions to a business or technology problem, assess the potential costs of the solution, organizational change/readiness to implement and support the solution and to lay out an investment approach to implementing (if that is the recommendation) the solution.
Job Requirements:
- Analyze technology industry, market trends and accommodate them in the Technical strategy.
- Provide architectural oversight of development activities, as they relate to the strategic technical direction.
- Identify and investigate opportunities to use emerging technologies to provide cost effective, flexible and scalable solutions.
- Take a leading role in long-term planning, providing technical direction, including documenting detailed architecture models which describe the structure and function of each platform.
- Experience should include Full Life Cycle Applications Integration, Architect Business Process Model interpretation, data model interpretation, Logical architecture modeling, service identification and creation.
BS, preferably MS in Computer Science (CS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS) and/or equivalent technical degree plus 10 or more years of IT Architect experience, 4 or more years of Enterprise Architect experience.
