SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Provide strategic direction & leadership to Kimberly Mill in providing a safe & healthy workplace for all employees, contractors, & vendors; answer questions & concerns about safety & health issues; provide direction & leadership for employee safety committees, representatives, managers, & process support teams; carry out responsibilities in a manner which will ensure the mill is in compliance with division safety policies; state & national safety standards. ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS: · Lead strategic vision & goal setting in the loss control functions to create employee ownership at all levels. · Lead loss control system development & improvement. · Lead & maintain certification requirements for OHSAS 18001. · Lead & provide expertise in decisions involving work practices & the requirements of all applicable regulatory requirements. · Develop safety & health standards training for all employees & for any special roles. · Develop & deliver a suitable safety leadership curriculum for management employees.
