Job Description:
Responsibilities: Responsible for leading the safety organization and charged with the health and safety policy implementation, workers compensation, risk assessment and compliance in the areas of lockout tagout, industrial hygiene, confined space entry, ergonomics, contractor safety management and related safety and health efforts. Serve as the principal liaison for cross-company teams on health and safety issues. Oversee and foster the sustainable safety culture change process. Ensure performance metrics are adequately communicated and measured. Interface routinely with various levels of organization. Develop the safety leadership pipeline across the organization. Work collaboratively with union and non-union employees to implement strategic safety initiatives. Skills / Requirements Qualifications: 4 year relevant university degree required, masters degree preferred 10 years safety experience in mining or a heavy manufacturing environment
