His or her responsibilities are centered on providing proactive solutions to safety, health and environmental issues within the plant. Requirements: 1. BS in a safety-related field. 2. 10+ years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong preference for a sheet metal based product background 3. Strong communication skills are vital given the level of interaction with all employees 4. You must be hands on contributor and have project team experience 5. A high degree of proficiency with PC applications is expected. Duties: 1. You will be responsible for leading the manufacturing team in safety and environmental issues. You will have 2 industrial nurses and a waste water treatment person reporting to you 2. This position will also lead the on-site Health Center to manage Workers Compensation and ergonomic issues 3. Responsibilities involve plant support, continuous cost improvements, productivity improvements, and the use of effective problem solving techniques. About 60% of your time will be office based and the remaining will be out on the production floor.
