Job Description:
REQUIREMENTS: Lead strategic vision & goal setting in the loss control functions to create employee ownership at all levels. Lead loss control system development & improvement. Lead & maintain certification requirements for OHSAS 18001. Lead & provide expertise in decisions involving work practices & the requirements of all applicable regulatory requirements. Develop safety & health standards training for all employees & for any special roles. Develop & deliver a suitable safety leadership curriculum for management employees. Provide support, guidance & direction for employee driven safety committees/roles. Responsible for decision making relative to compliance with Federal/State safety standards. Manage the worker\'s compensation insurance policy & program as required by law. Coordinate & communicate with all functional departments in relation to common areas of environmental compliance, OSHA standards, ISO/OHSAS, DOT, etc. to meet business needs. Build synergies between software applications to effectively manage the business. Manage & develop direct reports. Manage contracted services as necessary to effectively meet the needs of the business. Develop statistical reports & perform data analysis to meet the needs of the business units. Lead mill security & risk assessment efforts. Lead & provide expertise for correction of unsafe practices & conditions. Coordinate & provide resources for all mill, division, OSHA, & other compliance audits. Ensure efficient process to conduct all testing for health hazards, pulmonary functions, & hearing tests are completed per regs. Maintain licenses & permits as required including records retention. Develop & maintain loss control policies.
