Job Description:
This position is located in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring HUD's compliance with all aspects of Federal Information Security Act (FISA). Provides administrative and technical supervision to all activities in the Office of Security, OCIO. Advises the CIO on IT security matters; ensures the confidentiality, integrity, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs and policies. Serves as IT Security Officer and Critical Infrastructure Assurance Officer for the Department responsible for the implementation of all requirements mandated by the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 and other security regulations. Supervises the planning, design, production and distribution of IT security reports to senior management staff. Conducts Departmental briefings on IT security initiatives, represents the agency on national and international affairs involving IT security. Provides Department-wide leadership in the administration of personnel security, physical security, information systems security, critical infrastructure protection and emergency preparedness programs. Serves as the Department's principal spokesperson for policy and program matters in these areas.
