Key Requirements: Approximately 10% travel is required, 1-3 days per month. A TOP SECRET clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship Major Duties: The selectee will serve as a technical expert and senior engineer responsible for developing and/or testing software supported by the Modeling and Interface Branch. Potential roles include: Development/Test of software interfaces to stimulators within ACETEF; Development/Test of interface protocol/architecture software (e.g. HLA/DIS/TENA) to support distributed simulation; Development/Test of warfare environment software to support testing and training. The selectee will serve as a senior software developer/tester responsible for large and difficult assignments, which include planning, organizing, developing, testing, and supporting large software development efforts. He/she will provide expert technical advisory services to project managers and technical staff in the areas of modeling and simulation, to include; aircraft flight simulators, simulation systems, and hardware-in-the-loop architecture.
