PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:-Manage the operation of multiple large scale databases with transactions rates of more than 1,000 transactions per second-Manage multiple production database clusters with the goal of 100% uptime-Manage DBA team in US and abroad-Provide oversight for database schema design and architectural decisions-Implement effective monitoring of database environments-Manage the development and operation of a large scale, real-time data warehouse including all ETL development and production support-Manage the replication of database clusters in multiple data centers with bi-directional, high-throughput replication-Manage backups for an environment with multi-terabyte databases and 25 million+ files-Manage data security across multiple databases-Ensure database PCI compliance with major credit card issuers and Sarbanes Oxley compliance-Work closely with the engineering team on database design and performance tuning issues-Partner closely with the data analytics team on data warehouse architecture and reporting infrastructure.
