Job Description:
The key role is to manage the supervisory engineering functions for all aspects of roadway, bridge, and roadway appurtenance maintenance. The manager is responsible to develop and manage a multi million dollar annual operations budget and large Capital budget, as well as, responsibility for division fleet resources and replacement program. Must supervise consultant engineers, specified equipment, materials, administered construction, maintenance contracts, and Third party support groups. The Manager will manage staff, performance evaluations, hiring processes, and administrative disciplines. The manager will act as Division spokesperson at public meetings, prepare press releases for media, and make public statements on television. Prefer a PE or within one year of attainment. Requirements Bridge maintenance or bridge construction Ability to manage crews and personnel issues including hiring, disciplinary actions, evaluations, and training. Ability to clearly communicate with client, public, engineers, and subcontractors verbally and in writing. Perform bridge inspection and condition assessments. Ability to create technical reports.
