The U.S. Coast Guard : - Protects ports, the flow of commerce, and the marine transportation system from terrorism - Maintains maritime border security against illegal drugs, aliens, firearms, and weapons of mass destruction - Coordinates efforts with federal, state, and local agencies This position is located in the Coast Guard Aircraft Repair & Supply Center, Information Systems Division, Standards and Security Branch, Elizabeth City, NC. Key Requirements: U.S. Citizenship is required. The applicant is subject to pre-appointment and random drug testing. This position requires travel. Major Duties: The incumbent of this position serves as the Chief of the Standards and Security Branch in Information Systems Division (ISD). As such, manages certain internal IT business matters, including the following: Contracting Officers Technical Representative (COTR) for IT Support Contract(s); Performance Analysis - Systems Performance Metrics analysis and presentation, Process Improvement, and other SDLC activities.
