Job Description:
Job Duties include: Oversee coordination of production departments’ goals and objectives. Work with supervisors to maintain production time schedules and keep on-time boat delivery dates. Troubleshoot and modify work schedules as needed per change orders for engineering specifications, materials and manpower. This involves working closely with supervisors and design department. Provide leadership and “Forward Planning” to meet staffing, materials, schedules and changes. Instill a sense of urgency and establish clear directions for supervisors and crew. Provide management with production updates and accountability. Work within operations budget and cost objectives. Authorize purchase orders for production requirements. Authorize overtime hours as necessary for production. Maintain flexibility to work additional hours as production dictates. Provide continuous follow-up and improvement to meet or exceed all appropriate standards, i.e. SJY/ABS/ABYC/USCG/CE standards. Continually strive to maintain/improve SanJuanYachts market place prominence in the marine industry. Maintain contact with customers during construction and keep them updated of progress.
