Job Description:
The Executive Director works with the college community in order to establish and assess student learning outcomes with regard to international education. S/he serves as a liaison with internal and external communities and communications. S/He oversees all related accounts and budgets. The Director of International Education and the Assistant Director, International Students and Scholars are direct reports. Additional Details Qualifications Master's degree in International Studies, International Education, Foreign Languages, or related field required. Ph.D. preferred. Membership in Association of International Education, NAFSA or other international education association is desired. Proficiency in a second language required. Experience: At least seven years experience working within the field of international education. One to two semesters spent working, studying, conducting research, or volunteering abroad. Successful grant writing experience. Working knowledge of immigration regulations pertaining to nonimmigrants is expected, as well as experience in education abroad administration. Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, written and verbal communication and presentation skills are expected. Strong computer skills are required. Experience working on a college/university campus is preferred. The ability to work collaboratively across campus and the ability to work as a team member of the International education office are expected; professional experience working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds is required. The ideal candidate will possess seven years of progressively responsible work experience, including managerial and budget oversight in the field of international education. Knowledge and Abilities
