Job Description:
The Assistant Vice President works with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement to enhance our Planned Giving program and to build relationships with potential donors to increase the overall gift revenues to the College. Working with the VPIA helps to develop and undertake strategies that will attract endowment funds to support student scholarships, faculty research and additional College needs. The incumbent also oversees the Director of Prospect Research which includes screening of alumni, friends and donors for potential gifts to the College. The Assistant Vice President has oversight of the Associate Director of Annual Giving and supports the progress of the Annual Fund and all of its components. The Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and the Director of Constituent Relations also report to the individual. Specific fund raising goals are set each year for this individual's team and must be met and or surpassed. Additional Details Qualifications Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred. Five to seven years of professional fund raising experience with demonstrated growth and increasing success. Higher education experienced preferred. Supervisory experience is also preferred. Knowledge and Abilities Candidates should possess the leadership, communication and external relations skills necessary to ensure success of a results-oriented development program. The ability to enthusiastically represent the values and attributes of a public liberal arts institution.
