Job Description:
Responsibilities: Assessment and Evaluation: Develops and implements the Foundation\'s assessment and evaluation processes that focus on the strategy and effectiveness of discretionary grants, program-related investments and special initiatives (e.g., Community Building Initiative, Preschool Advocacy Initiative, Community Experience Partnership). Works with Program and other Foundation staff to develop and refine program strategies that result in measurable goals and outcomes. In concert with Director of Grants and Program Officers, help staff community advisory committees to elicit input, guidance and feedback on the Foundation\'s core program strategies. Grant Monitoring and Data Management: Supervises the Grants Specialist in developing grant application, grantee reporting and closing grant processes to capture results and impact data on discretionary grantmaking activities. Works with grantees to strengthen their ability to report results by using effective outcome measures. Oversees the development, implementation and analysis of applicant and grantee surveys to improve the Foundation\'s grantmaking processes. Analysis, Research and Shared Learning.: Develops the Foundation\'s research agenda, including both internally and externally generated research. Uses data collected from grantees and other external sources to conduct impact analyses of grants and program-related investments and reports results to staff and the board of directors. Manages the production of GIS-generated reports and maps that convey impact analysis of grant results. Works interdepartmentally to develop the Foundation\'s plans and strategies in developing online community and peer learning opportunities. Keeps abreast of best practices in learning organizations. Supervision and Training.
