Skills/Requirements Bachelors Degree in human resources, business administration, or a related area.Extensive experience with the design, implementation and administration of benefits as well as negotiating with health insurance companies and benefit providers.Knowledge of current benefits law.Thorough knowledge of group health insurance practices and self and fully insured administration methods.Knowledge of PC applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and HRIS or data base systems.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, oral and written, including the ability to speak in public making presentations and to counsel employees.Ability to manage time effectively and to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling highly sensitive information.Ability to be detail oriented.Ability to use good judgment.Ability to work effectively as a team member.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.ORAn equivalent combination of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics consistent with required qualifications as determined in the job analysis.
