Job Description:
Overall, the Senior Internal Auditor position is responsible for supporting, planning, supervising staff, and executing Internal Audit and/or Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 (Sox 404) projects. Senior Internal Audit personnel are expected to perform audit execution work and oversee the technical work of junior level personnel. The Senior Internal Auditor position reports directly to a project leader and/or executive with respect to communication of issues and completion of audit tasks. Typical Senior Internal Auditor responsibilities on a client engagement would include:

- Playing a lead role in the delivery and oversight of Internal Audit services.
- Reviewing and preparing workpapers.
- Identifying additional client service needs.
- Preparing audit reports and communicating issues to Crowe Internal Audit management and client management.

Within the Crowe client service organization, Senior Internal Audit personnel have the following responsibilities:
- Participating in strategic and tactical initiatives related to new product offerings and services.
- Working with Crowe Internal Audit management personnel to set the performance expectations of Internal Audit Staff level personnel.
- Evaluating the performance of Crowe Internal Audit staff personnel.
- Performing research on technology products/trends and professional standards as it relates to Internal controls and the Internal audit profession.
- Preparing for higher levels of responsibility within the Crowe client service organization.

Skill sets required include:
Should have some experience planning audit programs and/or assisting in internal audit and/or Sox 404 projects. Some experience within consulting or professional services, or at leading industry public companies is preferred. We require some prior experience supervising junior level resources in the areas of internal audit or Sox 404. This position requires national travel and may require international travel.

Demonstrated experience with:

- Internal controls assessment
- Internal audit planning and execution
- Written and verbal communication of results to stakeholders of projects
- Internal control design and effectiveness understanding
- Business process flow

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: (including years of experience preferred):

- Minimum 3 - 4 years of business experience in the areas of internal audit, internal controls assessment, and/or Sox 404 evaluation and testing.
- Bachelor's degree required. Major in Accounting is preferred. MBA is a plus.
- Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, or other related accounting professional certification is preferred
- Prefer industry experience in Energy, Healthcare, Insurance, but not necessary
