Job Description:
The Chief Pharmacy Service is responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, maintaining comprehensive Pharmacy programs which are consistent with the overall objectives of the Medical Center mission. The selectee will be required to serve a one-year probationary period for supervisors if not previously served.- The individual selected will need to be successfully reviewed by Professional Standards Board to achieve promotion to GS-14 level. Qualifications: Licensure: Hold a full, current and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Basic Requirements: Graduate of a degree program in pharmacy from an approved college or university. Specialized Experience: At a minimum, an applicant must have 1 year of creditable experience at the next lower grade level which is directly related to the position to be filled (e.i. supervisory/managerial experience in a pharmacy setting). You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.After appointment, you will be subject to random testing for illegal drug use.You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position.How You Will Be Evaluated:You will be evaluated based upon the question responses you provide during a structured interview.
