Job Description:
Develop and execute the product strategy to drive the business in the Wine area. Communicate cross-functionally between all teams and executive management. Manage sales, margin, turn, and supply chain for the business category. Build and create assortment plans to ensure proper in-stock inventory levels. Develop an effective strategic plan that meets category, division, and company objectives for the launch of this new business. Ensure that all company objectives are met in relation to quality, cost, sales, and delivery of product. Select and purchase products from key existing vendors while developing relationships with new vendors to drive the business category in Wine. Partner with marketing, inventory management, advertising, and distribution to achieve corporate goals. Develop and execute strategies for driving sales and margin and competitive differentiation. Drive negotiations on pricing with new and existing vendors. Travel domestically and internationally to visit key Wine vendors. Ensure that the product strategies are effectively communicated to all internal and external teams. Lead and manage a team of direct and indirect reports.
