Job Description:
Manager of Health Safety and Environment for their newly created role in the Atlanta, GA metro area. This is a corporate business office position which will coordinate and support global plant operations.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures that effectively control regulatory compliance, accident prevention, environmental compliance, security, and health exposures in line with OSHA, EPA, DEC, DHS and other applicable regulatory agencies in the US and similar regulations in, but not limited to, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Essential Functions of the position include: 1. Coordinate and assist worldwide plant safety professionals well being initiatives to ensure the plant maintains practices that meet or exceed all codes. 2. Must acquire a working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). 3. Leads the implementation of environmental policies and practices and waste reduction activities. 4. Establishes team performance standards, through the implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI\'s) and communicates status to staff. 6. Assists the plant safety professionals implement PSM, RMP, CFATS, and OSHA regulations and standards, including guidance on handling OSHA, EPA, DHS and DEC compliance, inspections, etc. 7. Provides consultative support to investigate injuries in conjunction with team leaders and staff personnel. 8. Assesses new developments in EHSS activities that may have application to business operations.
