Job Description:
Assist or lead compilation, maintenance, and analysis of data from studies, surveys, demographics, field work, and other sources, utilizing database, GIS, and/or statistical software. Produce narratives, maps, charts, graphics, and tables of data findings. Provide both routine and special analyses and mapping services as required for projects, and/or provide related project management services. This position develops and implements data standards, policies, and guidelines for management of the GIS. This position supervises two full time GIS professionals; responsibilities include goal setting and performance management. Required Education, Experience and Skills: Basic qualifications; Position requires at least BS/BA with a concentration in planning, geography, engineering, or related field, with a minimum 6 years GIS experience. Significant experience applying GIS, database design, and GIS management using ArcMap 9.2 and AutoCAD. Experience managing technical staff and projects. Must be proficient with the MS Office suite of applications.
