Masters degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Administration or other related field or in progress a plus. CPA/CMA/CIA or in progress desired. POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounting Manager is responsible for the proper, accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Kaiser Permanente policies, and internal control standards. Responsibilities include managing the accounting teams, providing accounting leadership and direction. Responsible for recruiting, training, coaching, developing and evaluating staff. Responsible for leading system project initiatives and process improvements across business units. Responsible for communicating financial information to Senior Management. QUALIFICATIONS: Significant (7+ years) directly related accounting and finance experience with a variety of projects. Full knowledge of accounting and GAAP. Working knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, internal controls, and financial planning and analysis. Strong matrix management skills required.
