The college ranks among the top 50 U. S. institutions whose graduates earn doctorial degrees in science and engineering disciplines and ranks among the top 15 Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the graduation of females with undergraduate degrees in the Physical Sciences. Over 60 percent of Tougaloo College graduates enter professional and graduate schools immediately after earning their undergraduate degrees. Today, Tougaloo College is the leading producer of African American health professionals, including over 40 percent of the physicians, psychologists, dentists, pharmacists and other health care professionals practicing in Mississippi. It has produced more than one-third of Mississippi's African American attorneys and educators.Responsibilities The Center's mission is to provide leadership and vision for the College's faculty development initiatives. The successful candidate will: Oversee planning and coordination of activities in the Faculty Development Center, assist FDC customers with identification, develop and implementation of curriculum, pedagogies, and training programs. Develop collaborative partnerships to support this Center's mission and evaluate education and training goals and needs.
