Ensure accurate and relevant financial reporting in compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards, Department of Insurance (DOI) standards, National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) standards and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 to ensure favorable review by all external auditors. Possess a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and the Committee on Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) framework to ensure proper design and operation of manual and automated (system) controls within the control environment.POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance or information systems. Master?s degree preferred. CPA preferred. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting experience. Two years of previous management or supervisory experience required. Extensive knowledge and application of professional accounting principles, concepts and techniques.
