High school diploma or equivalent; Associateýs degree preferred. Within the first year of employment, must successfully complete job-embedded APS professional development program to become highly qualified in compliance with the federal No Child Left Behind Act and to become familiar with APS teaching and learning expectations.: No experience required. Experience with general library use preferred. SOral and written communication, reading, interpersonal, organizational and personal computer skills. Ability to alphabetize. Ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds and abilities. Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System required within 1 month after hire. Operating knowledge of the Follett Library System and general office equipment required within 1 month after hire. English language skills required. Oral and written fluency in second language may be preferred or required based on building assignment. Current APS employees who wish to transfer to this position must have already successfully completed the APS NCLB training.
