Job Description:
Drive continuous improvement through utilization of Lean Sigma and MDI (managing for daily improvement) tools and techniques. Lead subordinates in a manner consistent with maintaining sound labor relations; leadership in full accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Responsible for corrective/preventative actions in response to daily safety, product quality and product delivery issues. Assists in determining immediate and future manpower, tooling and equipment requirements. Assure all subordinates receive appropriate training relative to daily work assignments and plant operating procedures and policies. Conducts/participates in daily communication meetings with both the departmental teams and management teams. Required Skills: Position Competencies: Bachelors degree and or equivalent experience required. Must possess strong leadership/supervisory experience. 3 to 5 years related experience required. Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques. Ability to communicate effectively and independently organize and prioritize department needs. PC proficiency utilizing MS Office and Lotus Notes.
