Job Description:
The UI Career & Professional Planning office is seeking an energetic and highly organized individual to join our team of career service professionals. Reporting to the Director of the Career and Professional Planning (CAPP) office, the Manager for Career Advising and Professional Development is responsible for all programs and services related to career advising and professional development, including the advising of students and alumni on career decision-making, job/internship searches, and other career development topics; coordinating and presenting class presentations and workshops related to career choice and professional development; creating and teaching for-credit career development courses; collaborating with faculty and student service departments to increase career presentations to targeted student populations; coordinating the alumni mentor program; coordinating and administering career assessments in cooperation with the Counseling Center; developing an assessment process to collect and analyze data for the purpose of program improvement; and overseeing the Teacher Placement File service. The Manager will participate on the CAPP management team and will supervise the career advising staff consisting of 1 staff member, 1-2 AmeriCorps Members, and 2-4 student interns.
