This position\'s main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing support and technical expertise to the Council in carrying out its Bylaws and responsibilities related to the health and wellness of dentists; providing support to the Dentist Well-Being Advisory (DWAC) and the Ergonomics and Disabilities Support Advisory Committee (EDSAC); serving as an ADA liaison with other professional organizations and organizations with an interest in issues related to the health, wellness and impairment of healthcare workers; coordinating, executing and evaluating a biennial ADA Conference on Dentist Health and Wellness. This position requires a Master\'s degree and a minimum of 5 years experience with health and wellness issues, including clinical experience with affected health care professionals, supervision, and program design and management; familiarity with professional regulatory issues and knowledge of specialized treatment and monitoring resources; excellent verbal and written communication; public speaking; budgeting; people and problem-solving skills; ability to make independent judgments or to access reliable information in content areas; developing a working knowledge of new content areas as the need arises.
