Job Description: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Manage, mentor and lead associate attorneys. · General policy creation and implementation. · Expansion process management. · Incentive plan creation and implementation. · Oversee improvements to efficiency and workflow. · Making final appellate decisions / client decisions / agreement changes. · Point of contact with outside general counsel on all legal matters involving contracts, complaints, tax, compliance, etc. · General problem solving for all managers, managing managers and prioritizing their tasks. · Actively assist in new client development and case resolution in connection with Firm's expansion efforts to speed up learning process of lemon law business. · Participate in the handling of the Ohio case docket (or other state where license matches) by assisting with interviewing, litigation events, motion practice and trial or arbitration, as needed. · Act as one of the senior trial attorneys who assists junior attorneys with pending trials through counseling, preparation and/or actual trial (through pro hac vice), as needed.
Job Requirements: JOB QUALIFICATIONS: · J.D. from an ABA accredited institution and bar passage in one or more states. · A minimum of 5 years of legal experience, including successful trial work. · Prior management experience required (law firm setting a bonus). · Prior experience implementing change based on the reporting of key firm metrics. · Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. · Ability to work evening and/or weekend hours, as needed. · Ability to travel on a limited basis including occasional overnight stays.
