Summary Job description:
Designs and drafts systems of electrical controls for custom built machines and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
(Other duties may be assigned as needed).

Discusses project with Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, Applications engineer, Sales, Customers, etc…

Designs and drafts arrangement of electrical devices and controls
Diagrams Logic system for functions such as sequence and timing control.
Designs and drafts diagrams of cable connection for machines
Illustrates and describes installation and maintenance details
Prepares operating manuals and trouble shooting materials
Works with Industrial equipment assembler and wirer to resolve problems regarding building of controls system.
Review schematics and sequences with customers representatives to answer questions during installation of the systems
Verifies proper operation of equipment and controls through debugging and testing to insure conformance to design parameters
Maintains and updates all electrical controls documentation
Technical Support for sales and service departments

Required Skills:
Project Management – using project management software
Current and up to date in all PLC programming software and hardware
Group presentation skills
Customer service mentality
Effective communication skills both written and verbal

Qualifications – (Candidates who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered)
BSEE degree with 5 years experience (required)
Strong computer skills with a knowledge of Database software, Design software (CAD), MS Office
PLC Programming (Allen Bradley – PLC-5, SLC500, Control Logix)
HMI Programming (RS View, Wonderware, Panelview)
AutoCAD
Ability to write functional specifications
Experience with equipment installations, Start ups and maintenance

Must be able and willing to travel Nationally and Internationally
