Board of Directors to ensure financial success of the credit union.3. Functioning as part of the management team to include an instrumental role in short and long range decision making/planning.4. Preparing monthly and periodic financial reports for submission to the Board and/or Management. 5. Developing strategies to maintain financial goals, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principals (GAAP)/ Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).6. Preparing the credit union's business plan budget and updates, if necessary. 7. Reviewing all income and expense items.8. Monitoring performance of investment portfolio and maximizing financial opportunities with an understanding of prevailing economic conditions. 9. Keeping abreast of the market and regulatory changes which may significantly affect the investment function.10. Developing and maintaining policies and procedures for the accounting department and overall organization where applicable to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. 11. Monitoring the integrity of and balancing general ledger accounts, and monthly bank statements.1
