Key Requirements: U.S. Citizen Major Duties:Serves as a Supervisory Helicopter Flight Instructor, Instrument Flight Examiner and/or Standardization Instructor Pilot. Supervises the Operations Branch of the ASF. Assigns work, establishes performance standards, approves leave & resolves management-employee problems. Completes all flight planning, pre-flight, in-flight & post-flight procedures. Assists in writing standard operating procedures, instructions, requirements & training programs for future certification as instructor pilots. Plans/monitors the Flying Hour Program, Additional Flight Training Program & flight physicals. Serves as a member of aviation flight status boards & safety boards. General Schedule Specialized Experience: best qualified candidates for this job must show in their resume that they have training or experience in the following areas ? piloting or co-piloting rotary wing aircraft, ground & flight instruction, in-flight evaluation & flight testing of developmental & modified rotary wing aircraft & components. Experience supervising staff work concerned with planning, analyzing or administering agency aviation programs, where the work requires primarily the application of helicopter pilot knowledge & skills.
