Clemson University is a public land-grant university fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The University currently serves approximately 13,000 undergraduate students and 4,000 graduate students in five colleges. Clemson University is located in the northwest corner of the State of South Carolina on the former estate of statesman John C. Calhoun. It encompasses 1,400 acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the shores of Lake Hartwell. The PositionSupporting Student Affairs strategic goals, the Assistant Director of Career Development will design, develop, and implement career development programs for all students and alumni based on student and career development theory. This position will specialize in providing intentional developmental programming for juniors and seniors based on learning objectives and learning outcomes. Additionally, collaborate with University community, Housing, Leadership and Greek Life to provide specialized programming to help students capitalize on how their experiences can have impact on the word-of-work. Provide individual career counseling and facilitate career-related programs including choosing a major, career planning, internships, resume writing, interviewing, job search strategies and application to graduate/professional school. Is experienced with administering and interpreting career inventories, such as and MBTI. Supervise, train and evaluate graduate assistants, practicum students and student assistants. Oversee and manage Career Library resources and staff.
