They are looking for an individual who is a self-starter and a great people person. This position will provide you with the responsibilities of: Supervising all activities associated with the manufacturing operation Improving efficiencies and driving out waste of the production facility Managing the department budget Implementing a SQF program Initiating personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary actions Resolving employee grievances or submitting unsettled grievances to the Plant Manager Developing or revising standard operations and working practices and observing workers to make certain compliance with standards are met An excellent candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Administration or Food Science Technology Minimum of 5 years experience in dairy production and/or quality control 4 years supervisory experience in a production environment Working knowledge of union contract and obligations along with the ability to work effectively with bargaining unit employees Strong working knowledge of dairy industry production practices, processes, and equipment Ability to demonstrate professional oral and written skills as well as leadership and change management skills Strong working knowledge of inventory control and distribution concepts with an emphasis on dairy industry load out practices and processes.
