Job Description:
Based at RTP, working within the Product Development and Support (PD/PS) group under the direction of the Senior Manager, Process Development Operations, the Manager, Clinical Trial Manufacturing Suites must bring organizational leadership and a high degree of collaborative skill to R&D manufacturing operations, supervising staff for effective and efficient operations, based on industry best practices, and monitor progress against objectives, goals, and budget. The Manager must interface across multi-functional lines to resolve any technical issues and resource constraints. Responsibilities include: Coordinate internal resources for collaboration with external groups during the construction and qualification phases of the GMP Clinical Trial Manufacturing Suites (CTMS) and the Product Development Laboratory (PDL) at RTP. Establish and maintain a cGMP compliant set of operating procedures for pre-clinical and clinical supply and operation of the CTMS, consistent with the strategic, technical, and quality objectives of the organization. In collaboration with local groups, manage, schedule and execute the maintenance and calibration, and the appropriate compliance and function of assigned manufacturing/laboratory areas, and associated equipment. As assigned by the Senior Manager, Process Development Operations, in collaboration with PD/PS, Clinical, Pre-clinical and QA groups, manage, schedule and execute clinical and non-clinical supply requirements for global and local R&D projects, making appropriate strategic, technical and resource recommendations. As assigned by the Senior Manager, Process Development Operations, in collaboration with PD/PS, Process Development, Supply Chain and Commercial.
