County manufacturing client is seeking a full-time Production Supervisor for their second shift due to a promotion. In this position, you would be responsible for supervising and instructing the Leadsperson and all production employees on assigned shift. You will oversee and monitor the training and cross training of all new and existing employees working closely with the Trainer to address any concerns or render feedback. You will monitor the schedule and manpower availability to meet the schedule, address machine or equipment repair needs with shift Maintenance Mechanic, oversee and assist employees with machining problems that occur with an order, check finished material run by shift for accuracy, working with the Lab Quality or Shipping Personnel, consult with Production Manager with regard to the scheduling or hiring of employees and may assist in screening candidates during interview sessions. We are looking for someone who is able to enforce employee and safety policies and programs, conduct incident reports, accident investigations / reports and disciplinary action warnings / sessions as required and prepare and present probationary and annual performance reviews. Three years of prior supervisory experience is a must and prior experience in the extrusion machining, or the plastics industry desirable. You must be competent in the use of the computer and Microsoft Office and be able to be respirator and forklift qualified.
